Aly Krajewski is a designer and artist whose work primarily involves the intersections between history, pattern, aesthetics, and time. Her projects are media-agnostic, utilizing graphic design, fine arts modals, artisan craftwork, time-based media, and installation. Their most recent body of work revolves around tactile interpretations of traditional ethnic costume and dress, specifically evoking feelings of movement, envelopment, and stagnation.

Aly’s work has been exhibited nationally, at galleries across Northwest Ohio, the Polish Museum of America, the Detroit Institute of the Arts, and in Canada. She is the winner of numerous awards including a Cannes Bronze Lion, D&AD Yellow Pencil, AIGA 365 Year In Design, Ad Age Creativity Award, MUSE Gold, Communication Arts Award of Excellence, Brand New’s Best of 2024, numerous District and National ADDY Awards, and a Gold Clio; and their work has been featured in several Ohio publications. She is a former Vice-President of AIGA Toledo.

As a designer, I have spent the last ten years focusing on the digital possibilities of creation in my own practice; but my history with hands-on artisan craft methodologies has never left the way that I make work. I firmly believe design and craft can cut through the noise of media today to produce truly innovative results.
